The Insurance Cooperative was founded in 1979 by farmers, at a time when traditional insurance companies could not fully meet their needs. Establishing a cooperative insurance company aimed at the creation of special programs that would cover the individual needs of the farmers. It was Alexandros Baltatzis, the founder of the Insurance Cooperative, who envisioned this peculiar –for the Greek market standards- company, which was characterized as unique among the cooperative movement."

The basic insurance packages are:

• For agricultural vehicles: 17 horses, from 96.00 euros for 6 months
• For tractors: 60 horses, from 92.00 euros per year
• For private use cars: Discounts from 20% to 35%.
