Lucerne

Lucerne, widely known as clover, came to Greece by the Medes during the Persian Wars in the 5th century B.C.

The drying plant is environmentally friendly, since the polluting petroleum is replaced by olive residues bioenergy!

It belongs to the legume family and is considered to be the most important forage plant worldwide, because of its widespread cultivation and high nutritional value. Also, Lucerne is the main fodder plant in Greece.

It has excellent resilience and great output. It shoots anew, brothers, bears lush foliage, thin stem, longevity and many cuts.

Thanks to the Lucerne meal factory that bears a 4,000 tons capacity, the Union of Agrinio has achieved a decisive intervention in feedstuff, as it produces dehydrated Lucerne in flour or in grain (pellets), both of which are used as such or as a feedstuff compound.

Based on their contracts with the Union of Agrinio, the producers are now confident that their product will be absorbed at the most advantageous price and that they will be served in the best possible way.
